Musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasound is an in-office imaging modality which can be used to image the body during a physician appointment to obtain real-time diagnostic information to aid in patient care. During her training, Dr Miller had the opportunity to work with some of the country's experts in this emerging field. She continues to train the residents at Albany Med in this important skill set. 


Dr Miller performs diagnostic ultrasound in the office to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions such as: 

-Shoulder pain
-Knee pain
-Hand or wrist pain
-Ankle or foot pain
-Hip pain



Dr Miller is trained in the use of ultrasound in the office to guide steroid and other injections, ensuring medications are optimally placed in sites including:

-Subdeltoid bursa
-Glenohumeral joint
-Biceps tendon sheath
-AC joint
-Olecranon bursa
-Elbow joint
-Lateral epicondyle
-Carpal tunnel 
-Wrist joint
-1st dorsal compartment 
-CMC, DIP, PIP, MCP joints
-Trigger finger
-Hip joint
-Trochanteric bursa
-Knee joint
-Baker’s cyst
-Ankle joint
-Small joints of hand or foot


Dr Miller earned the Registered in Musculoskeletal Sonography (RMSK) credential from the APCA in 2015.
